QR Shelf supports: URL/Link QR codes, plain text QR codes, contact/vCard QR codes (save directly to phone), WiFi QR codes (auto-connect on scan), email QR codes (opens pre-filled mail), image QR codes, SMS QR codes, and phone number QR codes. More types are added regularly.
Yes! Go to the "Generate QR" tab and use the Logo section. You can upload any PNG, JPG, or SVG image, use the AmbikaShelf logo, control the logo size (10%–35%), and optionally round the logo's background. QR codes with logos use Error Correction Level H so they remain scannable even with the logo overlay.
Yes! Static QR codes (URL, text, contact, WiFi, etc.) are permanent because the data is encoded directly in the QR image itself. As long as the destination URL or content remains valid, your QR code will work forever. We do not host or track your QR codes — everything is generated client-side in your browser.
Click the "Scan QR" tab. Then either click "Start Camera" to use your device's camera in real-time, or upload a QR image from your device using the upload zone. The decoded result will appear instantly with options to copy, open URL, or save contact details.
In the main "Generate QR" tab, you can download in PNG (high quality, 512×512px) or SVG (scalable vector, infinitely sharp). For quick-generate tabs (URL, Text, Contact, etc.) PNG download is available. All downloads are free and have no watermarks.
Absolutely. The "Generate QR" tab offers 8 frame styles (Classic, Rounded, Glow, Border, Dark, Stamp, Gradient, Neon), 12 quick color presets, and full custom color pickers for both the QR foreground and background. You can combine any frame, color, and logo for a fully branded QR code.
Yes. QR Shelf uses Error Correction Level H (highest), which allows up to 30% of the QR pattern to be covered while still being scannable. We limit logo size to 35% maximum and recommend keeping it under 25% for best results across all scanners.

Yes! QR Shelf is fully responsive and works great on smartphones and tablets. You can generate, customize, and download QR codes from any device. The camera scanner works on mobile too, using your device's rear camera by default.
QR codes can hold up to ~4,296 alphanumeric characters or ~2,953 bytes for binary data. For best scan reliability, we recommend keeping content under 500 characters. Very long URLs can be shortened using any URL shortener before generating.
Click "WiFi QR" tab. Enter your network name (SSID), password, and select encryption type (WPA/WPA2 is most common for modern routers). Click Generate. Share or print the QR — guests simply scan it and connect automatically, no typing required.
Click "Contact QR" tab. Fill in the person's name, phone, email, website, organization, job title, and address. Click Generate — a vCard 3.0 QR is created. When someone scans it, their phone immediately prompts to save the contact. Perfect for business cards, events, and networking.
